The Philadelphia 76ers accomplished what they wanted to do in the offseason with the big addition of Paul George in free agency. The Sixers brought in the 9-time All-Star on a 4-year $212 million deal to form a star trio with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

Paul George didn’t mince words, saying he thinks the Sixers have a championship roster, but much will have to go right for a team that hasn’t won it all in four decades.

Jokes aside, George gave his honest opinion on the deal. He said the trade will give Jalen Brunson "more space" and allow the "offense to thrive" with KAT at center. George added that the Knicks are "on the rise" like the Sixers and "definitely made a splash with that pickup."

The 76ers have yet to fully see how the trio of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George work together. Despite limited drills on the court together, George said following training camp practice Friday at Paradise Island that he’s confident it can work “extremely well” with three talented individuals.
