Before finalizing the five-player Rafael Devers trade Sunday, the Red Sox reportedly had their eyes set on a power-hitting Giants prospect and were rebuffed.

Following a blockbuster trade sending Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants from the Boston Red Sox, the lefty slugger will debut vs Cleveland.

Whatever went wrong in Boston, Devers is done discussing any issues he had with the Red Sox and eager to move forward across the country with the Giants.

The press conference will be held at Oracle Park in San Francisco at 5:30 p.m. EST (2:30 p.m. PST) and will feature a panel of Giants chairman Greg Johnson, president of baseball operations Buster Posey, general manager Zack Minasian, manager Bob Melvin, and of course, Devers himself.
