From barbells hitting the floor to the roar of the crowd, the Florida State Fairgrounds was buzzing with energy this weekend for FitFest Tampa Bay.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa police are cracking down on dangerous packs of bike riders who are taking over streets in South Tampa. On Wednesday night, police used their helicopter and a number of ground units to put the brakes on a pack of more than 200 riders.

The Tampa Police Department said the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said more than 200 people were part of this massive group on bikes, scooters, e-bikes and dirt bikes.

Monster Jam is rolling into Tampa this weekend, marking the first major event at the newly named Benchmark International Arena.
