The Swede was spotted wearing a protective boot at training as concern spread amongst Spurs fans, who were fretting over yet another injury at a time when many of their sidelined stars were set to return.

With their Premier League season in tatters, Tottenham look to make strides in the Europa League as they travel to meet Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of their Round of 16 matchup.
