FRANKLIN, Ill. (WAND) - One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Morgan County Thursday night. The accident happened at 4 p.m. on Illinois Route 104 near Rees Station Road in Franklin. The Morgan County Coroner Marcy Patterson said a car and truck hit head on.

A Houtzdale man was killed Thursday, Oct. 3 in a crash on State Route 153. According to Clearfield County Coroner, Kim Shaffer Snyder, Scott A. Hockenberry, 47, was killed after being involved in a two-vehicle crash.

The Wise County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy Lex Love was rushing to the scene of another deadly crash on Highway 287 when lost control of his own vehicle.

Lex Allen Love died from his injuries at Medical City Decatur. Coworkers say his death leaves “a huge hole” in Wise County law enforcement.
