A cause of death for British soap opera star Paul Danan has been determined. The actor died in January from the combined toxicity of heroin, methadone, codeine, pregabalin, cocaine and zopiclone, as well as benzodiazepine use, an officer with the Avon Coroner in England confirmed to USA TODAY on Wednesday. He was 46.

On Tuesday, March 11, an inquest opening at Avon Coroner's Court in England heard the provisional cause of Danan’s death was from the combined toxicity of heroin, methadone, codeine, pregabalin, cocaine, zopiclone, contributed to by benzodiazepine use, BBC reported.
