Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast's Prevention Park and Southwest centers will close on September 30. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood's Texas affiliate also will take over operations at the Houston-area's four other clinics -- Spring, Stafford, Northwest and Northville -- in October.

More than two dozen Planned Parenthood facilities are shutting down after new federal rules prevent the organization from being reimbursed by Medicaid and Medicare.

On Thursday, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte announced on social media that it will close five clinics in Northern California after recent federal budget cuts eliminated Medicaid reimbursements for clinics that perform abortions.

"It's a really devastating, horrific consequence that's directly linked to the Trump administration," Planned Parenthood told The Bee.

Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region is closing two of its health centers, including one in the Miami Valley.

The closures will affect clinics in San Mateo, South San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Gilroy and Madera near Fresno.
