The Detroit Zoo has welcomed a 22-year-old female polar bear named Haley for breeding and conservation efforts.

Claire Hilbers, 46, of Chagrin Falls does regular polar plunges and competed in the sixth International Ice Swimming Association World Championships in Molveno, Italy in January.
