Sun Belt CEOs voted to invite Louisiana Tech as the 14th member of the Sun Belt Conference on Monday morning, reported first by Pete Thamel of ESPN. La Tech will replace Texas State by rejoining the conference.

Louisiana Tech is set to leave Conference USA and replace Texas State, which is departing for the Pac-12 in 2026, as the Sun Belt's 14th member.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported Monday morning that the conference’s CEOs voted to add the Bulldogs as the league’s 14th member. Louisiana Tech would replace Texas State, which will depart after the 2025-26 athletic year to join the Pac-12.
