Venom: The Last Dance” topped the box office again as newcomer “Here,” a fantasy drama that uses AI so Tom Hanks and Robin Wright can play younger (and older) versions of themselves, fizzled in its debut.

Hanks teamed up with Forrest Gump director Robert Zemeckis and co-star Robin Wright for the film, which follows multiple couples and families who inhabit the same home over the course of a century. Despite the all-star team and its $50 million production value, Here has failed to deliver in revenue.

Paramount and Temple Hill’s Smile 2 placed No. 3 in its third outing as it crossed the $100 million mark at the global box office. The pic fell 29 percent in North America to $6.8 million for a domestic tally of $52.6 million and $109.7 million (it is unusual for a horror film to travel so well overseas, where the sequel has grossed $57.1 million).

Venom had no problem winning its second box office crown domestically.
