The Seattle Storm, and Climate Pledge Arena announced that a statue of WNBA legend Sue Bird will be unveiled outside the venue on August 17.

The Seattle Storm announced on Wednesday that the franchise will honor the former UConn women’s basketball and WNBA legend with a statue outside Climate Pledge Arena. Seattle will unveil the statue on Aug.

The UConn women’s basketball legend and Basketball Hall of Famer will be honored with a sculpture outside of Climate Pledge Arena, home of the Seattle Storm, the team announced Wednesday.
