Internal investigation opened after officer shot, killed dog during man’s arrest
LANSING, MI – The Lansing Police Department has opened an internal investigation into an incident where an officer fatally shot a dog during a man’s arrest. The incident unfolded around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, as two Lansing police officers tried to contact a man allegedly connected to a larceny complaint, Lansing police reported.
