A group of activists, including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, saw their mission to bring aid to Gaza stopped by the Israeli military. Israeli forces boarded the ship while they were in international waters.

Passengers on the boat, arranged by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, included climate activist Greta Thunberg and Rima Hassan, a French member of the European Parliament.

The group is carrying supplies for Gazan Palestinians and protesting what they say is “Israel’s “illegal, decades-long blockade, and ongoing genocide” in the enclave.
