Temperatures are projected to rise into the mid to upper-80s across the area today, with heat index values in the 90s expected. It will be important to remain hydrated and take breaks from the heat and sun today.

After a surprisingly mild summer across the Sacramento region, temperatures are about to heat up. According to the National Weather Service, triple-digit temperatures are on the horizon for much of Northern California.
