Miller is now another offensive tackle earning more than $20 million per season. That's probably the starting point for negotiations between Cross and the Seahawks.

Seattle Seahawks left tackle Charles Cross will be sidelined for the next few weeks because of surgery for a dislocated right ring finger.

Charles Cross left training camp to have surgery in Los Angeles on a dislocated ring finger he practiced with through the first week of Seattle’s camp. Coach Mike Macdonald said following practice Thursday his four-year starter at left tackle should be back practicing by the end of August.
