Assembling a porcelain paperclay candle holder 🕯I left the overlap/seam on these as I liked them as part of the design. I don't leave it on my lamps 😉 Here's a link to how I made the pattern https://www.facebook.com/share/r/14Ntj4gzgYB/ The lamps and candle holders will be ready for purchase around the 18th June. Keep watching for previews and notifications beforehand 🤗 If you'd like to see real time versions of how I make the lamps/cylinders go back to my posts on the 10th and 17th May and 1

🌊🐚Lots of urchin/ocean inspired bowls, or ornaments, depending which way you want to use them. These are actually glazed rather than having glass in them so they're food safe if so desired and come in three different sizes. ✫*¨*.¸¸.✶*¨ They'll all be available in the next shop update on Friday November 10th at 4pm BST 😊 (link to etsy shop on my page and in the comments) ✫*¨*.¸¸.✶*¨ Made from porcelain paperclay and glazed internally with a clear porcelain glaze | Mairi Stone

🌊 Making waves 🌊 some more 'real time' creating for you 🤗 I use porcelain paperclay for these lamps, when fired the paper burns away leaving just the beautiful translucent porcelain. I will of course show you the finished illuminated pieces. The first batch should be ready around the end of April/ beginning of May. You can see previous ones by scrolling back down my feed. . 🎶 Bensound | Mairi Stone

Candle holders 😁🕯 all dry and ready to be fired this weekend. They are made with porcelain paperclay. The 'paper' in the clay burns away in the firing leaving a beautiful translucent porcelain. I will share them again when fired and illuminated 🔥 . #porcelainpaperclay #candleholder #irishceramics #contemporaryceramics #ceramicart | Mairi Stone

A mini tutorial for you 🤗 (🔊 put the sound on). I made this a couple of years ago for Clay King but thought it would be nice to share again now. In it l am making a small tile that went on to be framed with a collection of other pieces, it covers some of my basic techniques and FAQs. Hope it is useful to some of you. There are examples of finished framed pieces in my photos. | Mairi Stone

A bowl in the making 👐 the kind of bowl you could use to put treasures in, or under, as it'll be precious either way 🤗 It is made with porcelain paperclay (ready made - Scarva Potteries E600). The template is a paper one I made myself. Tools, in order of use, knitting needle, fingers, polymer clay stamp (made by and for myself) and ball or dotting tools. The former is a bisque fired clay dome (again, home-made) Music - Relaxing Green Nature by David Fesliyan . #porcelainpaperclay #irishceramic

More sea urchin inspired pieces in the making 🤗 I mark the centre of the clay before putting it on the former, then mark out the segments with that cardboard measuring thingamajig that I made (don't know what to call it 😅). I use elastic to mark the segments out because when stretched it has to be straight and I've just found it's what works best for me. Then lots of yummy texturing 😋👌 . 🎶 Bensound #irishceramics #contemporaryceramics #ceramicart #porcelainpaperclay #natureinspired #inspire

Another of the 'catch all' or 'cover all' dishes in the making. I'm going glaze the inside of these with a clear glaze (and maybe add some iridescent lustre 🤔) and leave the outside glaze free so the texture can shine. Made using porcelain paperclay. Tools in order of use.. polymer clay stamp made by myself. Old wooden paintbrush handles and a blue ball or dotting tool. Bisque fired dome former/mould made by myself. | Mairi Stone

Quite blown away by the amount of interest in the pendants. Thank you! 🤗 .. so here's some videos (2 of 3 today, more tomorrow) of them close up showing the detail and the small clear glaze accents on them. They come on a solid silver 2mm snake chain with a solid silver bail and in a good quality black snap shut box. They'll be €45 shipping but am also happy to sell without the chain at €32 shipping. I'll give those options in the listing and will put them in my Etsy shop (link in bio) on Frida

Lots of candle holders in the making now 🕯 I'm hoping these and the lamps will be ready in around a month. I will share the finished pieces before that time 🤗 I decided to texture these on the flat before putting the clay on the former and it worked well. A little cracking in some of the textures but nothing a damp sponge didn't smooth over. This is made using porcelain paperclay and will become translucent after being slowly fired to 1260°c. .. #porcelainpaperclay #potterytechniques #candleho
