During the 1970’s and 80’s, Goliath Grouper (AKA Jewfish) were heavily overfished and were eventually listed as an endangered species. Since being protected in the 90’s, their populations have bounced back and they’ve become quite the nuisance to many spearfishermen and fishermen alike.
