The Beatles first single ‘Love Me Do’ was released 60 years ago today. A first version was recorded on the day of their audition at Abbey Road on 6 June 1962 with Pete Best on drums, but the version heard on the single was recorded on 4 September, this time with Ringo Starr on drums.
