Dyshidrotic eczema is a form of eczema that primarily occurs on or between the fingers, on the hands or feet. It is very itchy and is not an infection or contagious. Because it is caused by a damaged skin barrier, treatments include limiting hand washing, avoiding soaps with fragrance and using thick emollients like Vaseline a few times per day to help prevent spread or new bumps from forming.
