One of the cons of the Tapco brake is that it needs to be adjusted frequently. Though I find it overall to be a bit more efficient than the Vanmark if set up well, the Vanmark rarely needs adjusting. I went 17 years without adjusting my Vanmark brake and it bent straight as an arrow through that time. This is the Tapco sidewinder. It’s a fairly easy process to load and unload coils onto it. It is supposed to be designed for the coil to be able to be mounted on the bottom (hanging from the rollers) but I believe it needs a re-design for that purpose as the spring tension becomes WAY too tight. It doesn’t bother me though because all of my career I’ve rolled out coils in this orientation. This design save space underneath as my other coil roller needs to be mounted on a sawhorse or workbench. T

I’ve found that Tapco has to be adjusted more frequently than a Vanmark.
